Industrial Parts Cleaning
The removal of dirt particles, grease, oil and other materials from machined parts is a necessary procedure that prepares surfaces for secondary processes or accommodates a customer’s cleanliness specifications. Parts cleaning processes use aqueous or solvent cleaners to clean dirty parts that are placed in baskets in a cleaning tank system or parts washer that washes, rinses and dries these parts. Cleaning machines implement either ultrasonic cleaning, vapor degreasing or other spray washing methods. Recent developments in cleaning technology include more effective cleaning and drying methods for complex metal parts containing small recesses or holes as well as improved processes for intricate 3D-printed parts. Other sophisticated parts cleaning processes include snow jet cleaning as well as the use of carbon dioxide.
