Industrial Measurement and Inspection
Measurement/inspection tools are used to verify that a part’s dimensions conform to required tolerances. They include calipers, micrometers, gages, CMMs, profilometers and automated video and vision systems. Automated measurement systems are beneficial for many manufacturers because inspection can become a bottleneck, especially for high-production shops. Automation of this process enables faster and more consistent inspection.
